Conventionally speaking, doctors usually offer no hope for those suffering with low energy. But, according to Dr. Carri Drzyzga, low energy can't be solved by masking symptoms with drugs or artificial stimulants. Victims of chronic fatigue need a plan. (keep reading for some help)

The first step toward healing is recognizing the problem. On the next NaturalNews Talk Hour, Jonathan Landsman and Dr. Carri Drzyzga will discuss the symptoms of chronic fatigue, plus, offer a natural plan of action - which is more effective than any drug promoted by conventional medicine to dull symptoms. Join us for a show filled with eye-opening facts about this complex disorder and come away with practical, life-changing advice about how to restore your energy.

Chronic fatigue: Stop living life on the sidelines

While fatigue is the primary symptom of chronic fatigue syndrome, the disorder can be difficult to diagnose. Typically, the condition is considered chronic fatigue syndrome when severe fatigue lasts six consecutive months or more, and is not due to extreme physical activity. Those suffering from chronic fatigue often struggle to maintain their normal level of daily activity - even after a whole night of sleep.

In addition to extreme fatigue, chronic fatigue http://dreddyclinic.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=33587 patients are usually diagnosed after they have identified four or more additional symptoms, including post-exertion illness of more than 24 hours; unrefreshing sleep; noticeable short-term memory impairment or loss of concentration; muscle pain; joint pain in the absence of swelling or redness; headaches of new severity, type or pattern; tender lymph nodes in the armpit or neck; and a frequent or recurring sore throat.

Conventional medicine takes a multi-pronged (toxic chemical) approach of matching drugs to suppress or alter symptoms, including pain medications and sleeping pills. Yet, these treatments never alleviate the underlying causes. Dr. Drzyzga has developed a natura http://www.dreddyclinic.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=16l way to support a strong immune system and restore health through a healthy diet and other natural approaches, such as stress reduction techniques.

Find out how to reverse the debilitating effects of chronic fatigue http://www.dreddyclinic.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=34124 syndrome. Join us for the next NaturalNews Talk Hour with Jonathan Landsman and Dr. Drzyzga, chiropractor and naturopath. You'll see how to naturally boost your energy levels and eliminate your need for drug therapies.

4 of the most common reasons for extreme fatigue

Conventional medicine often claims the causes behind chronic fatigue symptoms are unknown, making it easier to simply prescribe multiple toxic drugs to patients in order to dull the symptoms without solving anything. But Dr. Drzyzga says that while chronic fatigue can have many and varied causes, there are four primary reasons behind most cases of chronic fatigue - which include:

1. Hormones. Often, stress is a trigger for causing hormonal imbalances. Cortisol levels can shoot up, melatonin levels can be too low (especially at night) - which lead to fatigue and unhealthy weight gain. In addition, thyroid imbalances can decrease your memory and mental clarity.

2. Chronic stress. While stress is a normal part of life, too much can be draining, both physically and mentally. Of course, the worry over feelings of fatigue and memory loss can be enough to cause any person to get stressed out and sick. The key is to listen to the signs and take action to fix problems - as fast as possible.

3. Gut health. This is so important - when trying to overcome fatigue issues. The 'standard American diet,' emotional stress and the use of antibiotics can destroy the digestive system and make it difficult to absorb the nutrients needed from food. Bottom line: A healthy balance of gut bacteria are essential for overall good health and energy.

4. Damage from free radicals. Any of the causes above can lead to an influx of free radicals - which attack cell membranes on a regular basis. Once enough of the energy producing mitochondria - inside every cell - get damaged, severe fatigue is often the result. Eliminating systemic infections and eating a healthy diet is our best defense against free radical damage.

Be sure to join us for a program that will show you how to recognize the signs of chronic fatigue and, more importantly, how to safely restore your energy naturally.

Why you should worry less about cholesterol and more about reducing inflammation for long-term health

Why you should worry less about cholesterol and more about reducing inflammation for long term health

by: J. D. Heyes
cholesterol, inflammation, long-term health

(DrEddyClinic News) Millions of Americans are on the watch for "bad cholesterol," but what they don't know is that cholesterol is itself a natural byproduct of the liver and an essential element for good health.

Image

In fact, every cell in the body has cholesterol in its outer layer. Nevertheless, a number of doctors and other primary care providers – who you would think should know better – still say that it is all evil, all the time, and that you must adhere to a low-fat diet because that's better for your overall health.

However, it is a fact that avoiding fats is toxic to your health, while consuming many of the food additives that commonly replace naturally-occurring fats (trans fats, refined sugars, processed grains) are the primary agents behind chronic inflammation http://www.dreddyclinic.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=115&t=24241.

Rather than being a cause of plaque buildup in the circulatory system, cholesterol can actually serve as a healing agent that the body sends to places that have been damaged by inflammation. In other words, if you have too much cholesterol buildup in your arteries, your real problem is too much inflammation rather than too much cholesterol. And that's important, because to mitigate it requires a completely different approach.

'The inflammation is what gets you'

"It's the inflammation in the vessels that starts the lesion," says Dr. Beverly Teter, a lipid biochemist from the University of Maryland who has been researching fats and their affect on the human body for many years, as quoted by CBN News. "The body then sends the cholesterol http://dreddyclinic.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=22893 like a scab to cover over it to protect the blood system and the vessel wall from further damage."

In addition, she says, research shows that cholesterol can protect you against gastrointestinal and respiratory problems, while helping to create vitamin D. She also notes that people with higher cholesterol levels actually live longer, and that is a scientific fact she says she can personally vouch for.

"I come from a family that has, my mother's side, had naturally high cholesterol. Her cholesterol was between 380 and 420 when I started watching her medical records, and she died at 97," she said. "So I don't think that cholesterol was too bad for her."

Scientists have found that cholesterol is particularly important in the brain, which contains more of the substance than any other organ. Cholesterol is required for messages to get passed along from one brain cell to another. So, Teter said, when it comes to your food choices, don't worry if it raises your cholesterol levels; focus instead on whether it is reducing your inflammation.

"When choosing which fats to eat, pick the ones that are high in Omega 3 fats http://www.omega3.news/ and also choose natural saturated fats. On the other hand, stay away from the fats that lead to inflammation, such as trans fats and Omega 6 fats," CBN reported.

Not a 'rare exception'

As DrEddyClinic News has also reported http://www.dreddyclinic.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=106&t=36435:

"What few people today realize is that their bodies actually require both saturated fat and cholesterol for proper metabolism, brain health, hormone balance and cellular homeostasis. Without these two important nutritional components, a cascade of health problems can ensue, including debilitating brain conditions like Alzheimer's and Parkinson's http://www.alzheimers.news/. This is especially true for people who take toxic statin drugs to artificially lower their cholesterol levels.

"Consider the finding of Dr. Harlan Krumholz of the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine at Yale University, who reported in 1994 that old people with low cholesterol died twice as often from a heart attack as did old people with a high cholesterol," writes Dr. Uffe Ravnskov, MD, Ph.D http://www.functionalmedicineuniversity.com/public/924.cfm, of Functional Medicine University.

"Supporters of the cholesterol campaign consistently ignore his observation, or consider it as a rare exception, produced by chance among a huge number of studies finding the opposite. But it is not an exception; there are now a large number of findings that contradict the lipid hypothesis," he adds.

What is Candida?

What is Candida?

(DrEddyClinic News) If you’re into natural health and nutrition, there’s a good chance you’ve heard of Candida. It’s a common yeast that’s present on skin, in the mucous membranes, and even the gut. In fact, over half of all humans have Candida albicans present in the body. [1] While most Candida are harmless as long as you’re healthy (good bacteria in the body keeps them in check), sometimes diet or lifestyle causes an overgrowth and imbalance.

Image

The Issue with Candida

The problem comes in when someone has a suppressed immune system, which allows Candida to thrive and spread throughout the body. [2] Preemies are especially at risk because their immune system isn’t fully developed.

The number of systemic infections from Candida albicans is on the rise. According to estimates, about 25,000 Americans will develop them in any given year. But there are so few drugs to treat these fungal infections that they can often become drug-resistant. So, even with treatment, close to 10,000 Americans will die. And if we look at the bigger picture, about 1.5 million people will die from fungal infections worldwide. [3]

Natural Approaches to Candida

You might be wondering if there are any natural ways to fight Candida. With more and more of these organisms developing drug resistance, researchers are often looking for alternative remedies. A recent study looking at lavender oil may be just what any nature-loving herbalist needs for supporting immune health and possibly fighting candida. But while the essential oil shows good resistance to fungus, more research is needed to explore all its benefits. [4] Some reports even suggest colloidal silver could be helpful against candida. [5] Now, while you might have heard taking garlic can help, recent research suggests that it’s actually not as beneficial against yeast as originally thought. [6] That being said, I highly suggest using garlic every day.

Mycozil™ is a natural, vegan-friendly blend of potent herbs and enzymes to support detoxification of yeast and undesirable fungal organisms from the body.

Candida overgrowth could also lead to a condition commonly called leaky gut, something that can lead to food sensitivities and intolerances, among other things. If you suspect you have candida or have been diagnosed, you need to take immediate action. Using something like Mycozil http://www.globalhealingcenter.com/supplements/mycozil.html?a_aid=141637&a_bid=9fc7ec0d on the onset of symptoms may help support whole-body health against yeast and fungal imbalance.

Has Candida been an issue for you? What have you found to be an effective solution?

The Health Dangers of Antimony

The Health Dangers of Antimony

(DrEddyClinic News) Antimony is a naturally occurring metal typically found in ore deposits. [1] Antimony is widely used in industry and present in all kinds of everyday items. Most commonly, the metal has been used as a flame retardant in products as diverse as toys, car seat covers, engine covers for light aircraft, clothing for kids, and uniforms for fire fighters. Beyond this, antimony is used to produce glass and ceramics, to make pigments, and in batteries. [2]

Image

In comparison to other toxic chemicals and metals like lead, arsenic, barium http://www.dreddyclinic.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=117&t=34307, and aluminum, antimony doesn’t get as many mentions. However, it should. Because antimony is widely used and present in so many everyday items, the health problems caused by exposure to toxic antimony compounds are a real threat.

How Are We Exposed to Antimony?

Exposure to antimony compounds generally happens one of two ways: occupational and therapeutic. Exposure symptoms and the problems that people may experience can differ greatly between the two. Additionally, although it’s not often cited as a prime source, it is worth mentioning that the EPA has warned that drinking water with high antimony levels, over a period of years, could cause health problems. [1]

The Chemical and Toxic Metal Cleanse Kit will help you purge your body of both chemical and metal toxins, which can lead to serious health concerns.

Occupational Exposure to Antimony

Some people work in industries or locations where toxic antimony compounds are more prevalent and this puts them in greater danger of suffering from related health problems. By far, those who have the greatest chance of coming into contact with toxic levels of antimony are port workers.

Why? Because antimony is used in brake pad systems for heavy weight vehicles, and port workers are exposed to that kind of traffic on a daily basis. The toxic compound is emitted from port vehicles and the workers breathe it in through their lungs. In one particular study researching antimony in the blood, a group of dockworkers had the highest levels of antimony ever reported. [3]

Perhaps the most frightening aspect to occupational exposure is the prevalence of additional toxins that co-exist. If an industrial plant has antimony present, isn’t it reasonable to assume other toxic compounds may be around too?

Surprisingly, one occupation that doesn’t show toxic levels of antimony is firefighting. Despite the fact that firefighters have been wearing flame-retardant uniforms that contain antimony since the 1960s and several people have raised concerns about this over the years, several studies have shown that fire retardant clothing doesn’t raise antimony toxicity levels. [4] [5]

Therapeutic Exposure to Antimony

A second group of people at risk for antimony exposure is patients suffering from schistosomiasis and leishmaniasis. Antimony is used as a part of the therapy for these conditions and can sometimes have toxic side effects that lead to pancreatitis http://www.dreddyclinic.com/findinformation/pp/pancreatitis.php and cardio toxicity. [6]

Health Dangers of Antimony

In general, how your body reacts to a toxic level of antimony will depend on how you were exposed. Those who breathed in the compound, like the port workers mentioned above, may suffer from symptoms like pneumoconiosis, gastrointestinal problems, antimony spots appearing on their skin, and
respiratory irritation. However, if you come into contact with actual antimony dust, you can experience symptoms like depression http://www.dreddyclinic.com/findinformation/dd/depression.php, dizziness, headaches, vomiting, kidney damage, or liver damage. One compound—antimony trioxide—is even believed to be carcinogenic, and antimony poisoning has also been known to lead to Adams-Stokes syndrome. [6]

Zeotrex® is an herbal blend that helps rejuvenate vitality, energy, mental clarity, and overall wellness through the detoxification of chemicals and metals.

Efforts to Reduce Exposure to Antimony

Over the last few decades, workplaces have instituted guidelines that have reduced the incidence of antimony poisoning, and therapeutic drugs with antimony undergo strict quality control measures. In addition, patients are continually monitored to ensure that their antimony readings stay within acceptable levels. [6]

And while the EPA and EU both have water standards for antimony they claim are well below toxic levels, those in the UK may want to be careful drinking juice concentrates. There are no set standards and, just a few years ago, researchers discovered antimony levels that far exceed tap water requirements. [1] [7] [8]

Governments now monitor bottled water since toxic antimony can leak from the plastic bottles into the water. California even passed a law in 2009 requiring testing, despite the fact that the levels in bottled water are actually below those of tap water. [7] [8] [9]

Mitigating Your Own Risks

Reducing your exposure to antimony, or any toxin, requires you to take an inventory of your life and determine exactly where you’re receiving exposure. Are you drinking purified water? Do you have a water treatment system in your house? Do you work in an environment where antimony is present? You need to address these issues at the source. Once you’ve eliminated sources of toxins in your life, cleansing your body may be the next step to a cleaner, healthier you.

Organ transplants for HIV-positive people officially approved in the United States

Organ transplants for HIV-positive people officially approved in the United States

by: Harold Shaw
HIV-positive, organ donation, transplants

(DrEddyClinic News) Three years after the U.S. Senate passed the HIV Organ Policy Equity (HOPE) Act, Johns Hopkins has finally been given the green light to perform organ transplants on HIV positive patients http://www.iflscience.com/health-and-medicine/first-hiv-positive-organ-transplants-given-go-ahead-us. The hospital will go down in history as the first American institution to perform an HIV-positive kidney transplant, as well as the first ever medical institution to attempt an HIV-positive liver transplant. Dorry Segev, associate professor of medicine with Johns Hopkins, has hailed this as a "new chance at life" for individuals with end-stage organ disease.

Image

The researcher points out that the HOPE Act is a long-awaited change, particularly since HIV-positive individuals die on the waiting list for transplants at a significantly higher rate than HIV-negative patients.

An international issue

Without a doubt, there is a worldwide organ shortage, and in this international context, the U.S. is right at the top of the list http://www.livescience.com/52526-rarity-of-organ-donations-forcing-patients-to-get-creative.html. As we speak, over 120,000 people are waiting for transplants, hoping that someone will either donate tissue they can live without, or sign that donor card. However, even though the need for transplants has grown, their availability numbers have remained steady, while the number of living donors has actually dropped since the early 2000s.

Within this community of patients in dire need of a transplant, there's a smaller group of people, HIV positive individuals, who in the past couldn't have a transplant even if there was a suitable donor.

From 1988 to 2013, it was illegal in the U.S. to either donate your organs to other people suffering from HIV, or to receive a transplant as an HIV-positive patient. Despite the fact that AIDS has been turned around by modern drugs from an often fatal disease into a chronic, but manageable illness, victims' life-spans have still been affected by kidney and liver failure.

Various drugs and even "vaccines" http://www.dreddyclinic.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=50&t=35512 developed for AIDS, involve a veritable cocktail of chemicals that can have awe inspiring side-effects http://www.sideeffects.news/, including dementia http://dreddyclinic.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=50&t=25601.

Even when the body manages to deal with the strain these drugs put on its routine processes, the kidney and liver inevitably still suffer. The fact is, the human anatomy is not designed to deal with these compounds on a long-term basis, and ultimately there's only so much it can handle before it gives in.

People are reaching out

Even though the authorities might not be doing much to raise the awareness of the population, those who are already familiar with America's need for organ http://www.dreddyclinic.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=20683&p=47433 donors try their best. From car-signs to social media posts, regular citizens are doing everything they can. In some cases, it happens that a close friend, someone who didn't know that they could be a live donor, and who wasn't aware of the situation, decides to give a helping hand.

Particularly when it's about kidneys – what the U.S.A is dying for – there are very few incompatibilities between donors and patients. Revolutionary techniques in medical surgery have made it possible to increase these chances even more by analyzing the blood chemistry of both the donor and the receiver, the use of anti-rejection medication, and even the use of robotics.

In the end, regardless of how prepared doctors are to perform this surgery, or new legislation allowing previously disadvantaged groups access to organ donations, nothing can happen without the tissue itself. While for some, becoming a live donor might seem like a lot to ask, donating your organs once you're dead will save the life of another. Imagine that you needed a transplant to survive, what would you say to those who insist on keeping their tissue even when they're six feet under?
